Today's trivia question: Where in Silicon Valley can you sit at the same table with a technology executive, a nurse and a stripper, and munch on pita chips?

There's really only one answer: Falafel's Drive-In.

Just ask Yousef Hazimeh, a teacher at the federal government's Defense Language Institute in Monterey. Every other week, Mr. Hazimeh brings a busload of students to San Jose to visit the Egyptian Museum & Planetarium.

This is part of the program, Mr. Hazimeh said during a recent visit. "The people are nice, and they treat you very courteously."

Jim Terra, a retired San Jose Police Department dispatcher, has been frequenting the establishment for 15 years, at an average clip of three visits a week.

Mr. Terra swears that in all the time he's been a Falafel's customer, no matter how long the line has been, he's never seen a prospective customer leave before ordering.
In 1966, Anton and Zahie Nijmeh moved their family to San Jose, CA. They wanted to create a business that provided healthy and authentic foods for their children and their community. Their passion for home cooking drove them to open up a Drive-In. He started by selling hamburgers and slowly introduced his customers to his delicious falafels made from his own recipe.
